Anger agrees to contract terms with Jags
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Action Sports has confirmed third round draft pick Bryan Anger has agreed to terms on a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars and will sign his new deal when he reports to camp on Thursday.
Anger was a surprise pick in the third round to most Jags fans because punters don't usually get taken that high.
The slot he was picked in also created some contractual road blocks between the two sides, causing a delay in the finalization of the deal.
The agreement in principle leaves Jaguars first round pick Justin Blackmon as the only unsigned player.
Jaguars players are scheduled to report on Thursday and training camp starts on Friday.
