JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Bolles School ranked 18th in the nation in the inaugural MaxPreps Cup, recognizing the top athletic programs in the country in 2011-12.  Bolles was one of just two programs in Florida to rank among the top 25.

MaxPreps, a national web site covering high school sports, tabulated the standings based on teams placing first or second in the state finals of an officially sanctioned sport.  Points are weighted based on the size of the playoff enrollment division, the size of the state, and the type of sport.  Points are also awarded for inclusion in the final national rankings for that sport.

The success of Bolles Athletics in 2011-12 included five state titles (football, boys’ golf, boys’ swimming and diving, girls’ swimming and diving, girls’ tennis), matching the most state titles by Bolles teams in a school year (2004-05, 2008-09) and bringing the total state title count in School history to 103.  Bolles teams in 2011-12 also produced two state runner-up finishes (girls’ cross country, girls’ soccer).
