JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The holdout counter for Maurice Jones-Drew and Justin Blackmon continued on day six of Jacksonville Jaguars training camp.

General Manager Gene Smith and head coach Mike Mularkey both said there was nothing new on the Blackmon front. The first round pick won’t be able to practice in full pads for four days once he does get here.

The Jags got some bad news on the injury front on Wednesday. Guard Will Rackley will miss three to four weeks with a high ankle sprain. He injured the right ankle in practice on Tuesday.

The starting offensive line is thin right now because Eugene Monroe has missed the last two practices with a swollen left knee. Monroe likely will not play in the scrimmage on Friday night.

Jaguars owner Shad Khan attended his second straight practice today along with a lean morning crowd under of under one thousand fans.

Once again, the Jaguars offense struggled to get in sync. There were signs of progress, but several plays that were ineffective. The positive sign was free agent wide receiver had his best day of Jaguars training camp.

Mularkey talked to the receiver on Tuesday and told him to stop pressing if he was because of the big contract and big expectations.

Wide receiver Kevin Elliott, out of FAMU, continues to impress catching the ball and defensively Wagner product Julian Stanford has flashed consistently at linebacker.

The Jaguars practice in the afternoon was interrupted by thunderstorms. The team practice for 45 minutes on the field before moving inside Everbank Field to the second floor of the stadium and finishing the walk through.

The Jaguars will have another open practice session on Thursday morning and of course the scrimmage on Friday night inside Everbank Field.
