Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - The Indianapolis Colts parted ways with a pair of veterans on Monday, as both running back Mewelde Moore and defensive tackle Antonio Dixon were released.

Moore, a nine-year pro, signed with the Colts in June after a four-year tenure with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played under current Indianapolis offensive coordinator and acting head coach Bruce Arians. The 30-year-old had been used sparingly, however, managing just nine carries totaling 14 yards and catching four passes for 36 yards and a touchdown in six games.

The Tulane product had 157 rushing yards and 104 receiving on 11 receptions for Pittsburgh last season.

Dixon was signed by the Colts on Oct. 9 and appeared in only two games in which he recorded two tackles. He had spent the previous three seasons with Philadelphia and started 10 games for the Eagles in 2010.

To fill the two roster spots, Indianapolis signed cornerback Marshay Green and fullback Robert Hughes from the practice squad.
