JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--Chris Anderson is proof positive that a little education can go a long way. The six foot four inch, 225 pound right hander hit the jackpot in the Major League Baseball Draft. Anderson is an instant millionaire after the Los Angeles Dodgers took him with the 18th overall pick in the first round.
Anderson was originally a 35th round pick of the Chicago Cubs in 2010, but chose to pitch at Jacksonville University instead. It pays off. His numbers were not the best this season, but they like what they see out of the big, hard throwing right hander. A 7-5 mark with a 2.49 earned run average.
We will have more with Chris Anderson this weekend on Action Sports 360.
