JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--A new GM, a new coach, plenty of new players, but  a similar result Friday as the Jaguars lost their preseason opener to the Miami Dolphins 27-3.

Round one of the quarterback competition went to Chad Henne who was 8 of 11 for 87 yards while Blaine Gabbert was 5 of 10 for just 19 yards with an interception. Neither quarterback was able to generate a touchdown for the offense. "We had one good drive and we were a little inconsistent early. We got some different looks from them and that's good for all the guys. You can go back tomorrow to watch the film and really evaluate what we're doing and what works," said Jags qb  Gabbert.

It should be noted the team's three best playmakers, Maurice Jones-Drew, Justin Blackmon, and Cecil Shorts III didn't play.

On the defensive side of the football Sen'derrick Marks had a sack on the Dolphins first drive. "We had some good plays and started to get in a flow offensively. It's all about the ball and we have to take care of it. The guys know that. I thought both sides really competed and that's what we're looking for as a staff," said Jaguars Coach Gus Bradley.

The Jaguars (0-1) this preseason are on the road next week to take on the Jets.

rolled over is putting it lightly. more like got run over by a steam roller.beep-beep. mark did call a cool game, but they need to call it like it is good or bad.

my grandson has an accurate arm. call me and he can do the job even though he is 9 year's old. defense should of not given up 27 point's. well time will tell.

The defense looks encourging but I'm sure that a better quarterback could have been found up in the stands. Three and out ain't gonna get it done. Enjoyed hearing Mark call the game.
