New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant and the Indiana Pacers' Paul George and have been named the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for the period ending Jan. 19.
Durant, who tallied a career-high 54 points on 19-of-28 shooting during OKC's 127-121 win over Golden State Friday, averaged a league-best 39.3 points per game. He also averaged 6.5 assists and 4.8 rebounds per tilt.
Durant has tallied 30-plus points in seven straight games.
George averaged an Eastern Conference-best 30.7 points per game during a 3-0 week for Indiana. He posted 36 points during a 106-92 triumph over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.
