CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - It's been 11 seasons since Miami won its most recent national championship, 13 seasons since Florida State won its last one. Coaches have come and gone, automatic-seeming spots near the top of the national polls were ceded long ago.

So maybe past editions of the annual Hurricanes-Seminoles game carried more weight than the one that's coming on Saturday night in Miami.

But to the teams involved, this matchup still means just about everything.

Miami and 12th-ranked Florida State meet up this weekend, the 57th installment of the series. The Hurricanes have lost the last two games against their rival, and the Seminoles are looking to give coach Jimbo Fisher his sixth win in as many tries against in-state competition.
