JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - One of the best high school prospects in the area is headed to Big Ten country. Ribault quarterback D.J. Gillins committed to play for Wisconsin today.
As a sophomore, Gillins shined for the Eagle's View Academy throwing for over 2,500 yards and 31 touchdowns. Last season Gillins suffered a knee injury during his first offensive series of the year. In May, Gillins decided to transfer across town to Ribault to finish his high school career.
Gillins is one of the nations top duel threat quarterback and picked the Badgers over Vanderbilt, Arizona, Boston College and Georgia Tech.
