KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - Markeith Cummings scored 18 points as Kennesaw State ended an eight-game losing streak Saturday with a 75-68 victory over Jacksonville.

That run of futility for the Owls (3-21, 2-10 Atlantic Sun Conference) began with a 99-92 triple-overtime loss Jan. 10 to Jacksonville (12-14), the Dolphins' 12th consecutive victory in the series.

Cummings' 3-pointer with 4:26 remaining broke a 59-59 tie, and his layup, followed by an Andrew Osemhen jumper, gave the Owls a 66-59 lead with 3:21 left.

Jacksonville got within three, but two free throws each by Delbert Love and Aaron Anderson restored a seven-point margin with 24 seconds remaining.

Anderson had 12 points and 13 rebounds for Kennesaw State, and Cummings' seven field goals gave him 692 for his career, one more than Owls record holder Herman Smith had from 1986-90, when they were an NAIA team.

Keith McDougald scored 15 points and Dylan Fritsch 14 for Jacksonville.
