Jags announce details surrounding Friday's scrimmage

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jaguars will host their annual scrimmage inside EverBank Field this Friday evening, August 3rd. The scrimmage, presented by Florida Blue, Florida’s Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan, is free and open to the public.

Jaguars fans attending will receive a unique opportunity of a chance to win one of 90 Jaguars practice jerseys following the scrimmage. Scratch cards offering the chance to win a practice jersey will be distributed as fans enter EverBank Field. Gates will open at 5 p.m., and fans will also be encouraged to make a donation to support Wolfson Children’s Hospital as they enter the stadium.

All funds collected for Wolfson at the scrimmage will be matched by the Jaguars and donated to Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

In addition to the special jersey giveaway, fans will get to see head coach Mike Mularkey's team in a full-contact scrimmage starting at 6:30 p.m. During the scrimmage, fans will be entertained by the Roar of the Jaguars, Jaxson De Ville and the D-Line. The Special Operations Command “Para-Commandos” will skydive into the stadium prior to the start of the scrimmage.

Interactive and inflatable games will be available for fans to enjoy inside Gates 1 and 4. The Florida Blue Tour will be in the Fan Entertainment Zone at the south end of the stadium offering free health checks and monitoring throughout the evening.

Following the scrimmage, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the players will sign autographs for fans before a four-minute fireworks show.

Discounted concessions will be available during the scrimmage including $2 draft beers and $2 water. Select Jaguars merchandise will be on sale at the Jagwear outlets at 50% off regular prices. Parking will be available for $5 in the stadium parking lots.

Jaguars sales representatives will be available inside the stadium to assist fans who wish to purchase season, half-season, group and single game tickets for the Jaguars’ 2012 home games.
