Jaguars battle Eagles at Everbank
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --The Jacksonville Jaguars offense had its most productive game of the preseason, but it still wasn't enough as the Jags came up short against the Philadelphia Eagles 31-24.
Chad Henne had a productive night for the Jags leading them on a couple touchdown scoring drives by going 11-18 with a quarterback rating of 91.4. He hooked up with Justin Blackmon with the first touchdown of the game. Henne was playing for the injured Blaine Gabbert who should be ready to go for the team's opener vs. Kansas City.
Two Jaguars who have continued to make plays this training camp and preseason both scored touchdowns again tonight. Running back Jordan Todman had a 63 yard burst for a score and over 100 yards rushing, while back up tight end Allen Reisner filling in for the injured Marcedes Lewis caught his second touchdown pass of the preseason.
The Jags did allow 7 sacks and have given up 27, 37 and 31 points in the preseason.
Offensive guard Will Rackley was injured early in the game and did not return. The Jags wind up the preseason Thursday night in Atlanta against the Falcons.
