JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--The Jacksonville Jaguars played one of the worst games in franchise history.  The Houston Texans knocked off the Jags 27-7 for their fourth straight win in the rivalry.  The Jags were overwhelmed by the Texans defense.  Jacksonville's 117 total yards are the lowest output in team history.  Houston held the ball for 43:17 leaving the Jags with less than 17 minutes of possession.

Head coach Mike Mularkey was not at a loss for words, but had trouble explaining the lack of execution and attention to detail saying there were mental errors from the start.  The Jags script the first fifteen plays.  The team knew them the night before but couldn't execute them mentally.  Quarterback Blaine Gabbert left the game in the fourth quarter with a leg strain.  Gabbert went 7-19 for 53 yards and a touchdown pass to Maurice Jones-Drew.  "We killed ourselves," Gabbert said.  "We went 0-9 on 3rd down and kept shooting ourselves in the foot."  Mojo ran 12 times for 60 yards and scored his 75th career touchdown on the 5 year pass that made it 17-7 Houston.  Jones-Drew said, "We didn't give ourselves a chance.  We didn't execute.  They didn't do anything complicated.  The first half was horrible."

Mularkey finished his post game comments by saying he thinks his team can "take a punch".  He will find out Sunday in Indianapolis.  The Colts beat Minnesota to improve to 1-1.  The Jaguars are 0-2.

PATHETIC is the only way to describe how the Jaguars looked and played yesterday. In fact and as hard as it to believe, I think the Jaguars looked worse than last year and we all know how bad the Jaguars were last year. What an embarrassment to the city and to all of us who call ourselves Jaguar fans. Truth is this team looked like a group of little girls, rather than men and the way they played showed just how little this team has learned from their past mistakes; in fact this team looked just like the team that played for Jack Del Rio and frankly that stinks. From the mindless penalties, to lack luster play calling, to the lame and lifeless offense, to a defense that had more holes in it than the Bismarck did the night she sank, simple truth is the only bright spot to yesterday’s game was the fact that it finally ended. If this is the best the Jaguars have to offer us fans and the city, then maybe it is time to move the team, I’m just not sure where Mr. Khan will find a toilet bowl big enough to put this team where it belongs. The only bright spot I can see right now is that this is only game two, so the Jaguars still have some time to improve and show that they truly belong in the National Football League but if they fail again, then Mr. Khan should totally clean house, starting with Gene Smith and start this team over from scratch, as loosing has become a habit for these people and we need a team of winners not more of the same old thing we’ve come to know for the last 4+ years.

I think the Jaguars idea of hope and change is the same as Obama's, just didn't work. Personally, I don't see a lot of difference in this years team and last years team. The Jaguars are the only team in the league that has had a top 10 pick 5 years in a row. Looks like we're getting ready to make it 6 in a row. Way to go Gene Smith.
