Jimbo Fisher says Noles on track
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.-- The Florida State Seminoles are dialing in for the Orange Bowl kick with Northern Illinois on Tuesday night in Miami Gardens.
It's Florida State's first BCS Bowl in seven years. Jimbo Fisher was asked this morning if the FSU program is on track.
"That is a great question. This is the first time we have played in a BCS bowl in seven years. First time we have won 11 games in 12 years and a chance to win 12 to match. It's only been done two times in school history. We have come a long way. Am I disappointed in our season? No, I'm very excited about what we've done and how we won a championship."
FSU is a big favorite to beat the representatives from the MAC. The Noles are supposed to win by two touchdowns against the Huskies. Action Sports is here at the Orange Bowl. We have Stuart Webber in New Orleans with the Florida Gators and Brent Martineau is back in Jacksonville covering the removal of Gene Smith as the Jaguars General Manager.

MIAMI, Fla. -- The Florida State Seminoles kick off the new year against Northern Illinois in the Orange Bowl at 8:30 Tuesday night.
The Seminoles are two touchdown favorites to beat the Huskies. This is not the matchup everyone wants to see, but it is the game that the brainiacs at the BCS came up with.
Jimbo Fisher says that his football team is enjoying the week in South Florida. The idea is to have fun, put in the work needed to win the bowl game and enjoy the process of getting better every day.
Northern Illinois is a team that reminds the Noles of USF. They say the Huskies, like the Bulls, are small along the offensive and defensive lines but very quick. The Action Sports mobile is arriving in the Miami area tonight and we will have the latest on Action News beginning at 5 p.m.
