Laettner to get ABA ring
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Giants will present former NCAA and NBA star Christian Laettner with an ABA Championship ring on Friday night downtown at the Veterans Memorial Arena.
The reigning ABA Champs had Laettner star for them for a handful of games during the 2012 championship run. Laettner left the Giants to accept an assistant coaching position with an NBA Development League team.
Laettner is a former March Madness star with the Duke Blue Devils and played in the NBA and on the 1992 Dream Team. Laettner resides in Ponte Vedra Beach.
