MIDDLEBURG, Fla. - It's a couple months after National Signing Day but the wait was worth it for a group of Middleburg High School student-athletes. Eight Broncos players had their signing ceremony in the gym Wednesday, choosing to wait until they could do the ceremony together. The group includes seven football players and one wrestler.
On the gridiron, Austin Waldron will attend Stetson University in DeLand and compete on the first year Pioneer Football League program. Teammates Jake Jones and Gage Gunnells are headed to Berry College and Birmingham Southern respectively. The trio of Tyler White, Wade Hoilman, and Tyler McCormick sign with Sterling College and Blaine Bursey takes his talents north to Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Joining the football players was Kyle McClinton, a future wrestler at Hannibal-LaGrange University in Missouri.
Congratulations to all these student-athletes on making it to the next level and good luck!
