Murphy reaches agreement with Mets
JACKSONVILLE, FL - The New York Mets and second basemen Daniel Murphy have agreed on a one year, 5.7 million dollar deal for 2014. The Jacksonville native and JU grad can earn an additional $50,000 for reaching the 500 plate appearances plateau this season.
Murphy hit .286 this past year with 78 RBI's and 13 HR's while playing in 160 games for the Mets in 2013. For more from Murphy check out Action Sports 360 on Saturday night.
