NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- If anyone thinks this is a fun trip for undefeated FSU, think again.

"I haven't won a championship since middle school," said Heisman Trophy winner and freshman quarterback Jameis Winston.

"Why can't we blow out every opponent?" asked a confident Winston.

Quarterbacks coach Randy Sanders said Winston changed his life.

"A year ago I was coming off a 2-10 season and unemployed," said Sanders. "Now I'm coaching for a national championship."

FSU and Winston take on the Auburn Tigers Monday night.

"That's a rivalry game," said Winston, who is from the state of Alabama.
