JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Nease High School will celebrate Tim Tebow's prep career by retiring his number five jersey before the Panthers game next week against Menendez.

Tebow will not be at the ceremony on Friday, October 19th, but he will be sending a video message to the crowd in attendance. Tebow's parents will be at the pregame ceremony to represent him and also receive an honorary diploma in Tim's name.

Tebow was homeschooled while he played at Nease from 2003 through 2005.

At Nease, Tebow was a two time Florida State Player of the Year recipient and he led the Panthers to a state championship in his senior season.

Tebow has become one of the most popular athletes in sports since leaving Nease High School. He won two national championships with the Florida Gators, won the Heisman Trophy, and is now playing in the NFL with the New York Jets.

Tim Tebow and family should be ashamed of them selfs. Yes he was home schooled but here in Duval County not St. Johns. They purchased land in St. Johns and got an address so Tim could go to Nease. All this hoopla for CHEATING.
