Alameda, CA (Sports Network) - Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor will make his first NFL start Sunday for his team's season finale against the San Diego Chargers.

Head coach Dennis Allen announced the decision Friday.

Pryor, who is starting in place of the injured Carson Palmer, has appeared in two games this season, completing 1-of-2 passes for five yards while adding two yards on the ground.

Pryor and Matt Leinart had been sharing reps in practice.

Palmer suffered cracked ribs and a bruised lung during Sunday's 17-6 loss to Carolina. He finished the season with 4,018 yards, 22 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
