CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Jacksonville Suns and Chattanooga Lookouts played just five full innings in their series opener, and the Suns could not score in their limited opportunities at the plate, falling by a final of 2-0.

Lookouts starter Zack Lee did not allow a run in his five plus innings of work, and surrendered just three hits, while Suns’ right-hander Robert Morey allowed an RBI single and a run-scoring groundout to J.T. Wise that accounted for the only two runs in the game.

Jake Marisnick, Aaron Dudley and Danny Black accounted for the only hits in the contest for the Suns, who lost a rain-shortened contest for the second time in the last week. Jacksonville also had a game called in the sixth inning during the team’s last home stand against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

Game two of the series is scheduled for Friday evening, with the Suns sending right-hander and newly-named Southern League All-Star Sam Dyson (3-7, 2.74) to the mound. Chattanooga will counter with left-hander Chris Reed (3-7, 3.51). First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. ET.
