NEW ORLEANS, La. - Day two is just about in the books at Super Bowl XLVII. After awhile in New Orleans it becomes just one long day anyway.

We have been working since 8am this morning and I'll be back at it for the Action News morning show at 6am on Friday. The work and the schedule kind of puts a damper on all that fun everyone thinks you're having! We are having a good time I will say.

We ran in a lot of New Orleans folks today and they are so proud of their city for the way they host these big events. Every city has a great deal of pride, but given what's happen in New Orleans in the last decade, it feels different here.

Another example of New Orleans knowing how to throw a party was earlier tonight at the Riverwalk. It was a pretty cool sight to see the Super Bowl XLVII roman numerals floating down the Mississippi River on a barge. The scene was pretty wild with fireworks, a music show and nfl highlights playing in the roman numerals. The numerals are 25 feet high each.

That's going to do it for now. We'll catch up with a lot of Jags folks on Friday and have more from the Big Easy.
NEW ORLEANS, La. - It's been an interesting day at Super Bowl XLVII. I was a little concerned that our credentials didn't include Sunday's game but I think we have that issue solved - I hope we do!

We spent time with the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers earlier in the day. It was the last day players had to talk to us media folk. During the interview process, we saw Katherine Webb, a clown and a viking looking guy all asking questions. They were all unrelated in full disclosure.

Webb was the star of the show as she has been since becoming a household name during the National Championship game. She is working this week for Inside Edition, but seems to be doing more answering questions than asking them.

We then went to radio row which is always a staple of Super Bowl week. Interestingly enough, I didn't see any mega stars like I did the last time I was at the Super Bowl (in 2002). The celebrities on radio row today were mostly sports stars and the crazy things is they are all on tv now as analysts any way.

More to come from New Orleans as our Super Bowl mania continues in New Orleans.

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The San Francisco 49ers players are the happiest people on earth right now.

They are at the Super Bowl and they are done with media availability. We caught up with a couple of stars like Randy Moss and Colin Kaepernick at their final media session.

We also caught up with Jacksonville native and 49ers wide receiver AJ Jenkins plus former Gator Ray McDonald.

We are now at Baltimore's media session and going to head to radio row in a bit to try and get autographs- just kidding.

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Day two of our Super Bowl journey is underway bright and early in New Orleans. Wednesday was a long drive and a chilly night, but we had a good dinner on Bourbon Street.

The food in New Orleans is pretty good and that's an understatement. We were still amazed at how quiet things were on the streets last night for Super Bowl week, but it really was that cold here in the Big Easy.

Based on our hotel rates and others in the area, the party really gets started today. We are off to pickup our credentials for the week and then heading to San Francisco's media availability. We hope to catch up with Jacksonville native and 49ers wide receiver A.J. Jenkins.

More to come from the Big Easy. Don't forget to follow us twitter @actionsports360. Check out our Super Bowl section. Kickoff is Sunday on CBS47.
