Updated:

Danielle Avitable joined the Action News Jax team as a reporter in March 2016.

Danielle started her journalism career at WXVT in Greenville, Mississippi where she anchored the morning show, "Delta Daybreak."

After working in the Delta, she made her way to central Mississippi and was a reporter and weekend anchor at WJTV in Jackson.

When she wasn't covering crime, politics and severe weather in the capitol city, Danielle spearheaded "Caring for Mississippi" Rescue Week, which was a partnership between the station and animal shelters to get animals adopted on a monthly basis.

In 2015, Danielle was nominated as Best TV News Anchor for Mississippi's Associated Press awards.

After working in Mississippi for more than three years, Danielle is thrilled to be back in the Sunshine State, where she grew up.

Danielle graduated from Florida State University, where she studied Communications and kicked off her broadcast career as the weekday anchor for University Update.

Since she was 8 years old, Danielle knew she wanted to be a reporter. After multiple internships her curiosity turned into a passion.

In her spare time you can find Danielle playing tennis, golf, at the beach, shopping or catching up on her favorite show, Criminal Minds.
