There's a very dry, arid spot in my yard, and I've tried unsuccessfully, for years, to grow something pretty there. Finally found this lovely plant, and it's water requirements are stated as "arid". Cold hardiness is down to 30 or 20 degrees, so, hoping it will stay for an entire year or more.
It is called an Orange Bulbine, or Bulbine frutescens.
