My Big Fat Greek Food Fest, June 8-10 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 2940 CR 214 (West King Street), will give the community another opportunity to enjoy Greek food and culture in St. Augustine. This summer food festival will feature delicious Greek dinners such as lamb, souvlaki, gyros, Aegean chowder and much more. Be sure to try some delicious Greek pastries and coffee, or browse the Greek Orthodox bookstore for unique imported items. A kids area will include face painting and games and guests can participate in Greek wine tastings, listen to music and shop for specialty food items. Tours of the Holy Trinity Church will be available as well.
The weekend’s featured event is an “An Evening of Comedy with Basile” at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9th in the Michael C. Carlos Fellowship Hall. Basile has entertained millions of comedy fans in the United States as well as internationally. Basile’s unique blend of material, improvisation, and characters has made him one of the most sought after comedians in the entertainment industry today.
