"The Civil War had a great impact on the Jacksonville area, but the story of what happened here is often overlooked".
I took photos of the 150th Anniversary of the Battle at the St. John's, at Fort Caroline National Park, today, Saturday.  It was quite interesting, and I learned some new history.   
There was also a separate ladies area.  Women did not travel with the soldiers, of course, but the ladies who are involved in this program, wanted to show how women lived, in that time. 
This event happens same time, each year, at Fort Caroline Park.  If you didn't go this year, plan to see it, next year.
