First Alert Weather: Spotty showers moving inland

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A few coastal showers are continuing to stream off the Atlantic into mainly SE Georgia. These will continue to weaken as they move inland. Isolated showers will remain in the forecast tonight for mainly coastal locations. Lows will become comfortable, in the mid to upper 60s inland with low to mid 70s at the coast.

Persistent onshore flow continues this weekend with brief, isolated showers possible through Saturday, mainly at the coast with breezy conditions. Rough surf and seas will continue with a high risk of rip currents. Highs will remain in the mid 80s.

Still a little breezy Sunday with an isolated coastal shower, but most areas stay dry and warm to the mid to upper 80s.

The first half of next week looks mainly dry with a slow warm up as highs get back to around 90.

TROPICS: Hurricane Jerry is located north of the Northern Leeward Islands where Tropical Storm Watches are in place for wind and heavy rain. Jerry will turn back to the north over the weekend away from land and remain about 1000 miles offshore of Jacksonville. Bermuda will have to be "on guard" for this one. No local impacts through the weekend. A strong tropical wave coming off the coast of Africa will be moving into an environment conducive for development and could become our next named storm early next week.
