Literacy is a vitally important tool for kids to succeed, yet many underprivileged children in our area don’t have books on their own. Action News Jax Family Focus, and the Jacksonville Public Library are teaming up to change that.
From February 29 to March 14, you can help by dropping off new children’s books at any Jacksonville Public Library location for the third annual Tenikka’s Books for Kids.
Tenikka’s Books for Kids (#TB4K) is a book drive collecting new children’s books for the Jacksonville Public Library’s summer learning programs. All eligible books will be given out to children enrolled in the programs so they can have reading materials of their own.
WAYS TO DONATE:
- Donate books at any Jacksonville Public Library location
- Drop books off at the Action News Jax studios (11700 Central Pkwy #2, Jacksonville, FL 32224)
- Amazon registry is available this year for people who want to buy books online. Click here to learn more.
- You can visit the San Marco Books and More store to purchase and drop off books.
If you have any additional questions about the drive, please send an email to TB4K@actionnewsjax.com.
