JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A growing number of cities are feeding the homeless in a new way and Jacksonville area restaurants can get involved.
The founder of non-profit "Rescuing Leftover Cuisine" says when he was growing up, his family didn't always have enough to eat.
That's what inspired Robert Lee to partner with about 300 catering companies, office cafeterias and restaurants in 16 cities, to donate leftover food at the end of the day.
Volunteers deliver it to local shelters.
Waste Not Want Not is a charity based in Northeast Florida and serves the hungry in Clay, Duval and six other local counties.
