    Millions of americans who got their February food stamps early will have to make them stretch.

    About 90 percent of recipients need make their February supply last 40 days because of the federal government shutdown.

    The USDA is working to find ways to bridge the gap between distributions, while food banks are being stretched thin.

    Most distribution places are asking for gift card or monetary donations tonight.
