COVID-19: Commissioner says Florida will extend distance learning options for spring classes

The Florida Commissioner of Education issued an emergency order on Wednesday that will allow families to continue with distance learning in the spring.

The order means parents and students who want to continue with online learning options will still have access.

But there are still unanswered questions when it comes to funding.

Currently, students in those innovative options get fully funded as if they’re learning face-to-face. But it’s unclear if that will stay the same in the next semester.
