Jacksonville,FL. — ORIGINAL STORY | March 30
250 doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine were spoken for in about two hours.
People lined up around the block of the Graham Library off Myrtle Ave.
Dozens of people were turned away because the site ran out.
Sam Velez, the site coordinator working with the State said people are showing up in droves for the Johnson and Johnson vaccine a one dose option.
“Everybody asks about the Johnson & Johnson and they prefer the Johnson & Johnson.” Velez said.
The mobile sites are proving to be a success, Action News Jax asked the State their process in choosing mobile site locations.
One woman who was turned away said she will wait for another mobile site offering the J&J option.
“I want my vaccine really bad.” Michelle Armstead said. Armstead works at a local school, she said she trusts the J&J option because she trusts the long standing brand.
