‘It is my responsibility to get out here and vote;' Georgia voters cast ballots despite COVID-19

CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. — Action News Jax’s Courtney Cole spoke with the Camden County Board of Elections Tuesday about its new machines and turnout.

Voters also shared their socially-distant voting experience with Cole in the above video.

WHAT TO KNOW:

  • The 2020 Presidential Primary Election has already been postponed in Georgia twice.
  • Camden County Board of Elections Member for District 2 told Action News Jax they had: 954 come in-person and vote early and 4,300+ absentee ballots returned.
  • Poll were open in Georgia from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
  • In addition to the presidential nominee --- judges, county commissioners and sheriffs are on the ballot.
