Help the Florida Theatre reopen

Jacksonville, FL — The Florida Theatre has launched a new “Cross the Finish Line” campaign. Its goal is to raise enough money to reopen the historic theater by December.

“The Florida Theatre has been without more than 90% of its typical income for over six months,” said Florida Theatre President Numa Saisselin.

He said in a news release that the nonprofit has been getting by with local and federal loans. But after six months, that money is almost gone.

The “Cross the Finish Line” campaign aims to raise $100,000 by Dec. 31.

To donate to the Florida Theatre’s “Cross the Finish Line” campaign, visit the theater’s official website at floridatheatre.com/finish-line. You can also contact the Director of Development Michelle Adams at michelle@floridatheatre.com or call 904-562-5973.

When the theater does reopen, there will be public health measures in place, as well as limited seating. More information about that is expected to be released Monday.
