Jacksonville, FL. — Monday, the State of Florida will open eligibility for COVID-19 vaccines to ages 16 and up.
The Department of Health and Human Services released allocation numbers for the State of Florida, with the largest shipment yet.
The state expects to get more than 800,000 doses next week.
Action News Jax asked the State how many will be sent to Duval County.
A spokesperson responded: “Next week’s allocations have not yet been finalized. They will be finalized on Friday, and I will be able to provide you those numbers then.”
Of the vaccines due, 313,000 of the doses will be the Johnson & Johnson one-dose option.
So far about 12,000 people in Duval county have received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
Thursday morning there are two Johnson & Johnson sites scheduled:
