Duval County, FL. — Live at one our local area beaches and want a COVID-19 vaccine?

The cities of Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville Beach, and Neptune Beach have received many inquiries on when beaches citizens will be able to receive recently approved and distributed COVID-19 Vaccinations.

With these three beaches being located in Duval County, they ask residences to go to City of Jacksonville run vaccination sites or federal run vaccination sites.

The beaches municipal governments do not have control over distribution or access to vaccines.

As of January 12, the vaccines are only available to the following groups in Duval County:

• Long-term care facility residents and staff

• Persons 65 years of age and older

• Health care personnel with direct patient contact

• Persons deemed to be extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 by hospital providers

“Beaches Mayors Glasser, Brown, and Hoffman are in constant communication with Duval County officials and will continue to work to keep Beaches residents updated and informed” stated in a recent Facebook post on City of Jacksonville Beach Government page.
