12 men arrested in prostitution sting in Jacksonville

Twelve men between the ages of 18 and 54 were arrested in a prostitution bust on Philips Highway in Jacksonville on Saturday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A dozen men between the ages of 18 and 54 were arrested in a prostitution sting in Jacksonville on Saturday.

Officers made the arrests after suspects solicited sex from Jacksonville Sheriff's Office detectives posed as prostitutes on Philips Highway.

The youngest suspect was 18-year-old Michael Vliet.

Jose Lopez-Gutierrez, 34, was arrested after he offered a detective $5 and a beer for sex.

Emanuel Weeks, 32, offered a detective a "dub" of "soft" cocaine in exchange for sex. Officers said the dub was worth $20.
