2021 Careathon to benefit pediatric cancer patients is underway!

Jacksonville, Fl — The 2021 Careathon to benefit pediatric cancer patients and their families has arrived! A team of Cox Media Group hosts will be live at Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville for a 13-hour broadcast dedicated to raising money for the Child Cancer Fund.

Now in its 7th year, Careathon has raised more than $1.2 million dollars. Donations have gone to a restricted fund that will forever fund the Child Life Specialist at Nemours, bill payment assistance, tutoring, food vouchers, gas cards and more.

Every dollar raised through Careathon directly benefits the families of pediatric cancer patients, who face monumental costs during the months and years of treatment.

Child Cancer Fund is a partner to families of pediatric cancer patients and provides programs and services to 300 families annually. This grassroots charity is small but mighty, with one full-time employee who was in the cancer fight with her young son years ago. Carla Montgomery understands the challenge and horrors of pediatric cancer.
