22-year-old arrested in deaths of couple, grandson with autism

A 22-year-old has been arrested in the deaths of a Brunswick couple and their grandson.

Carson Holliman, 64, his wife Vondell Holliman, 62, and their grandson Christopher Holliman, 24, were found dead inside a home on Wolfe Street on June 18.

Howard McKenzie, a relative of the Hollimans, said the couple lived in the home for more than 40 years.

“They were just ordinary people, loving people, hardworking people," McKenzie said.

McKenzie said Christopher Holliman suffered from autism. He believes the family was killed in a case of mistaken identity.

Roger Owens was arrested and charged with three counts of malice murder.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is asking anyone with information to contact 912-729-6198 or the Brunswick Police Department at 912-267-5516.
