343 new COVID-19 cases reported in Duval County

FLORIDA — Florida health officials reported 7,104 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Thursday morning.

The state’s total case numbers have now reached 487,132 with 7,084 deaths, according to the Florida Department of Health’s COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard.

Officials said 582 new cases of the virus have been reported in Northeast Florida, including 343 new cases in Duval County. For the first time in a while, no new hospitalizations have been reported in the county.

Of the 62 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide Sunday, three were in Putnam, one in St. Johns and another in Duval counties.
