4 women accused of kidnapping baby from St. Johns County

Madison Co — Four woman were pulled over by the Florida Highway Patrol along Interstate 10 in Madison County Sunday evening in relation to a kidnapping.

FHP says troopers were to be on a lookout for a white Chevrolet HHR with four women and a 10-month-old child in the car in connection to a St. Johns County kidnapping.

Troopers stopped the vehicle matching the description just after 11:00 p.m. Troopers noticed the child's clothing matched the description given. The child was then placed under the trooper's care until Florida Department of Children and Families representatives arrived.

Troopers arrested Jakevia Rodriguez, 30, and Latoya Rodriguez, 31, both of Colquitt, Ga. along with Precious Seymour, 23, of Miami Gardens, Fl. and Lakeysha Robinson, 29, of Satsuma Fl.  All four were charged with kidnapping.

Chuck Mulligan with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office says the incident was a family matter and officers knew where the suspects were heading.

The suspects are at the Madison County Jail and Mulligan says the suspects will eventually be brought back to St. Johns County.
