Newly released 911 call reveal disturbing details in the moments after an attempted murder suicide of a newlywed couple in Vilano Beach.
A neighbor called 911 after hearing gunshots and finding his neighbor, John Reid, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and the gun still in his hand outside his home.
The double shooting happened Thursday around 5 p.m.
Deputies say Reid's wife of only a few months, Tracy Cunningham, was found inside the home shot, and is now in critical condition.
In the 17-minute 911 call, dispatch asks the caller if he noticed any red flags between the couple.
Dispatch: "Do you know him well?"
Neighbor: "Yeah I do."
Dispatch: "Has he been suffering mentally? Depression?"
Neighbor: "He’s been very distraught with his wife, his wife died February, he remarried right away. "
The 911 caller also had a woman with him. He told dispatch she was in the home just before the shooting and the couple had been in a "big fight," so she walked outside.
Right now we are going through newly released 911 calls related to this incident. The caller is a neighbor who says he heard the gun shots. He describes John Reid laying in the front yard of his home.
