Former City Council President Anna Brosche filed to run for mayor Friday morning at the Supervisor of Elections Office.
Brosche has filed for the mayoral race but she's not officially qualified until she provides a check for $11,677, according to the Supervisor of Elections Office. They tell me she must turn in the check by noon today. @ActionNewsJax @WOKVNews https://t.co/kWNUZT9XqP

Action News Jax reporter Courtney Cole spoke with her in May of 2018 -- asking her if she was considering a mayoral run. Brosche stated her focus was to finish her presidency on the City Council.
Brosche and current Mayor Lenny Curry have clashed on several issues.
Brosche is from Jacksonville and grew up in the Murray Hill neighborhood, according to the city's official website.
