Power restored to most JEA customers in North Jacksonville area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: As of 7:22 a.m. Friday, eight JEA customers are still without power in north Jacksonville.

JEA crews are working to restore power to at least 1,000 customers in north Jacksonville near the Jacksonville International Airport.

Viewers in Oceanway tell Action News Jax they are also without power.

JEA received a report of an outage issue at 5:42 a.m. Friday.

The power is expected to be restored at 7:12 a.m., according to the outage map on JEA's website.

Action News Jax is working to learn the cause of the outage.
