Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center patients receive special donation

Patients at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center received blankets and messages of hope on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Subaru of Jacksonville this week.

The donations were a part of the Subaru Loves to Care event. Eighty blankets were donated to patients currently undergoing treatment at the center. Subaru also encouraged customers to write messages of love and hope throughout the month of June.

“This is what we truly enjoy doing,” said Phil Porter owner of Subaru of Jacksonville. “We love giving back to the community. These patients are true heroes, and we want to make sure they know we love and support them.”
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is to Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. To learn more about their organization, click here.
