Blue Angels arrive in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Blue Angels arrived in Jacksonville Friday for the Sea and Sky Spectacular.

Some of the most talented pilots in the armed forces have flown the F-18 Legacy Hornets across the country.

"I saw them as a 6-year-old and Blue Angels what they did for me was they inspired me to follow a career in aviation and as I got older I realized I wanted to join the Navy and fly airplanes in the Navy," said Captain Tom Frosch, Commanding Officer Flight Leader of the Blue Angels.

Frosch, who has been with the Blue Angels for about three years, is one of the men who will be flying during the event in Jacksonville Beach over the weekend.

Frosch said performing in Jacksonville is special because it's where he got his start as a pilot at Cecil Field. He hopes a little boy or girl looks up in the sky this weekend and will be inspired, just as he was.

"If we come here and inspire one kid after they see the entire show, I think the entire show is worth it," Frosch said.

The show is Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
