Jacksonville Jaguars lose Nick Foles to broken clavicle for the season opener

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update 4:45 p.m.: Coach Doug Marrone said Nick Foles suffered a broken collarbone during the Jags - Chiefs game and is expected to be off the field for a couple of months.

Original Story: The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost Nick Foles to injury for the season opener 10 minutes into the first regular season game.

Foles threw a touchdown pass on his second drive in a Jaguars uniform, but on the play got sandwiched between two players from Kansas City.  Foles was holding his left shoulder/arm area coming off the field and left for X-Rays.  Moments later, the Jaguars ruled Foles out of the game.

There is no official word on how serious the injury is to Foles.

Rookie Gardner Minshew now enters the game at quarterback with the Jaguars trailing the Kansas City Chiefs 17-7.
