Brunswick officials warn about possible cocaine that may be responsible for multiple deaths

Officials in Camden County are investigating after multiple people have died from "unexplained causes."

The deaths reportedly all occurred on Thursday, Nov.8.

Authorities are looking into the possibility a powdery substance believed to be cocaine may contain "a more toxic or lethal drug"  and may be the cause for the unexplained deaths.

At least one person has died from consumption of the substance and another was hospitalized.

Alleged suppliers of the substance are being pursued by law enforcement for questioning, according to  District Attorney Jackie Johnson of Brunswick Judicial Circuit.

Officials have found evidence to believe the possible lethal substance was purchase by others in Camden County and are warning consumers to be aware of the "extreme danger."
