UPDATE: Missing 11-year-old girl from Camden County found safe

KINGSLAND, Ga. — UPDATE 7/26/2020 6:02 p.m.: Leann Godwin has been found safe, according to family members and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office. According to the Sheriff’s Office, they found her during a traffic stop. Police are interviewing the person involved. This is an ongoing investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY 7/25/2020: The Camden County Sheriff’s Office is searching for missing 11-year-old Leann Faith Godwin, who was last seen at her home near the 200 block of Kerry Place in Kingsland, Georgia.

Leann Godwin is 11, white, 4 foot 9 inches tall and weighs around 110 pounds. She has strawberry blonde hair and was last seen wearing a Camden County Middle School sweatshirt and jean shorts.

Camden County plans on holding a news conference regarding this case Monday at noon.

Anyone with information regarding the modding child needs to call 911.

Anyone with home security video systems in the area of Kerry Place is asking residents to review the footage.

If anyone has seen any vehicles or people who do not live in the area in the past couple days contact the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.
