Charlie Crist makes campaign stops in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The race for Florida governor winds through Northeast Florida this week.

Action News was there as democratic candidate for governor Charlie Crist visited St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Northwest Jacksonville.

It is one of five churches Crist says he visited today.

Action News asked Crist why he's refusing to participate in debates until after the primary election.

Crist said, “I think it's important to stay focused on the battle at hand, and the real fight is with Rick Scott. He's spending $100 million to defeat me. I'm focused on him. And we're coming.”
